Highlights:
Tarangire National Park – The tributaries and swamps of the Tarangire River provide permanent water sources when surrounding shallow lakes dry up, thus attracting a migratory movement of up to 250,000 mammals during the dry season.
Lake Manyara National Park – The Park consists of 330 km2 (130 sq. mi) of arid land, forest, and a soda lake which covers as much as 200 km2 (77 sq. mi) of land during the wet season but is nearly nonexistent during the dry season.
Ngorongoro Crater – Branded as a UNESCO World Heritage site in the Great East African Rift Valley, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area includes the wondrous Ngorongoro Crater, home to the densest concentration of wild animals in Africa.
Serengeti National Park – The Serengeti National Park covers 14750 square kilometers (5700 sq. mi) of grassland plains, savanna, riverine forest and woodlands in North West Tanzania. It is famous for its annual migration of over 1.5 million white-bearded wildebeest, and 250,000 zebra 50 000 Grant’s-and Thomson’s-Gazelles. In addition, this biologically diverse ecosystem includes an abundance of several other wildlife species.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport. You are met and transferred to your hotel for check-in and relaxation. Your first night in Arusha allows for a worry-free arrival, relaxation and an attempt to overcome your jetlag with a good night’s sleep.

Days 2 & 3: Drive to Tarangire National Park for wildlife viewing on an all-day exploration of this area known for attracting a migratory movement of up to 250,000 mammals during the dry season.

Day 4: Drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day of game viewing with an overnight stay in the Ngorongoro highlands enjoying local cuisine and culture.

Day 5: Today proceed to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater to view the densest concentration of wildlife in East Africa. While travelling to the floor we will visit a living Masai village to learn more about their culture.

Days 6 & 7: Venture out on a game drive in central Serengeti to view the largest population of big mammals (2 million) to naturally migrate across the African continent. Overnight stay at a lodge in central Serengeti.

Days 8 & 9: Serengeti National Park – North, South, or West Migration Route
Explore this region of the Wildebeest migration to capture the beauty of the wildlife.

Day 10: Departure
Prepare for departure from the lodge in Tanzania. Transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Arusha. Upon arrival, connect to your international flight for your next destination.
